BAPTISM OF AN INFANT OR YOUNG CHILD

God has blessed you and our Parish Community with a beautiful gift----your child. At Baptism we will celebrate our faith together and your child's initiation into the faith.

Active, registered parishioners who wish to have their child Baptized at St. Viator are required to participate in our TWO-SESSION BAPTISMAL PROGRAM. Expectant parents are also welcome to attend this program. Baptismal Preparation Classes for parents are held once a month in the Parish Center.

Baptisms are administered on Sundays immediately following the 12 PM mass. Parents and Godparents are asked to attend the noon liturgy.

Offerings are gratefully accepted. Checks are made payable to St. Viator Church and submitted at the time of the Baptism.

Please contact Sharon Sears at the Parish Office to sign-up for Preparation Classes and obtain additional Baptism Requirement Information. Sessions must be completed and Godparent requirements must be met before a Baptism date will be set.

Photography is permitted; we ask the families to assign the camera to someone who is not directly involved in the ceremony (not the parent's or Godparent's.)

The Baptismal Certificate will be mailed to the parent's after the ceremony. Please proof the certificate when it arrives for accuracy.
