Thank you for considering St. Viator for your child’s Baptism.
Our Catholic Community view Baptism as the beginning of a journey of faith for you and your child. We want to be as helpful as possible in acquainting you with a deeper understanding of Baptism; this will be the beginning and first step in your child’s faith journey.
Please read carefully.
As followers of Christ, we recognize Baptism as being accepted into God’s family. If you choose to have your child baptized, we want to help you, as parents, fully understand the extent of your responsibility, as well as the need for the commitment necessary to help your child start a lifetime friendship with Jesus Christ. The St. Viator Baptism Preparation Program has been designed to help Parents and Godparents understand their role in the child’s faith journey.
Our Program is designed for Two Sessions – 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center. March 2017 classes will be held on March 8th (the second Wednesday) due to Ash Wednesday.
Session 1: An informal meeting with other parents wishing to have their child baptized. Ideas and practices are exchanged to help us put into practice Christian principles in our everyday living.
Session 2: This group meeting will build on Session I and discuss the theology of the Sacrament.
Please contact the Baptism Coordinator at the Parish Office, in advance, to sign- up for the Baptism Preparation Sessions.Beth Schill, email@example.com or (702-733-8323 at Ext. 302)

If there is a unique family situation and you cannot attend a Saturday Baptism all efforts will be made to accommodate your request.
