Church Restoration
Church Restoration Summer Project 2016
Our parishioners have always been good stewards of our church.
In 2005 the old church was remodeled into the parish hall, with additional meeting rooms, youth ministry and parish offices and the food and clothing bank. The Parish Center has been the “heart” for all of parish and ministry activities for the St. Viator Community. In 2008 the church parking lot was replaced and the church plaza was redone. Both of these projects will serve the parish for years and years to come. Thank you for your support.
We now embark on the church restoration project. This project includes new pews, painting the interior of the church, adding sound absorbing panels, and additional work in the sanctuary and choir area. We are also creating spaces for our parishioners who use walkers and wheel chairs.
We have already received gifts for sanctuary furniture and the beautification of the sanctuary.
This interior work will enhance the beauty of the church and invoke a sense of the sacred. Moreover this restoration project will make maintaining our church much easier.
After consulting with our parish finance committee and parish council, now is the time to address the church interior. We believe it is best to do this work while we can and not wait until we must.
I am grateful for your past support. With your help we have addressed major issues in the parish and made great progress. All of this was accomplished while still maintaining our ministries, properties and services to you. Our parish is blessed with good stewards.
In this brochure there are opportunities for you to contribute to this restoration project. No gift is too small and all gifts help. For your consideration and all the good things you do for St. Viator, THANK YOU!
Richard Rinn, C.S.V. Pastor
